After graduating from the Antwerp academy Lena tried to earn her life as a costume designer for theatre and film. Moved to Kortrijk to settle down… Only for a short while. She's a globe-trotter but Lena comes all the way from God’s forsaken prairies of central Russia. The “settling down” is a charged term. Though, she soon moved to Brussels, did visual merchandising at COS (while it was all woody and cosy back at rue Neuve). Lena grew with time and did very different things. As an amateur she wrotes music reviews, organised gigs in her apartment in Antwerp and hosted a bunch of punk bands at her place in Kortrijk. As a writer Lena participated in Diane Pernet’s blog, published a fashion fanzine and even tried herself in site-specific installation art. Lena has been blogging for many years too. She launched one of the first Belgian fashion blogs: origamimonami.blogspot.com. Actually she has another blog and Lena works in one of the most famous shops in the Dansaert street called Stijl.
